PFP Sports & Celebrity Talent Agency recently secured three sports legends for a charity fundraising event in the midwest – basketball Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler<\/a>, football Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas<\/a> and baseball pitching great Jack Morris<\/a>. The event began with a VIP reception followed by dinner and a q&a session. The next day, the legends participated in a golf tournament and kids\u2019 sports clinics. More than 1,000 people attended the dinner and the golf tournament required the use of three different courses to handle the crowd.<\/p>\n

This was the 12th<\/sup> year that PFP Sports & Celebrity Talent secured the talent for this event \u2013 over the years PFP has secured such legends as Pete Rose, Ozzie Smith, Goose Gossage, Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, Warren Moon, George Gervin, John Havlicek and Rick Barry. Many believe it was the best lineup ever, not only for the name recognition but also for the friendly and outgoing nature of the legends. It was obvious from the start that Clyde, Thurman and Jack had\u00a0 great chemistry and this became even more evident when the three shared stories and some good-natured ribbing during the q&a.<\/p>\n

Jack Morris was one of the most dominant pitchers of his era, winning 254 games over 18 seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins. He was a five-time All-Star and won three World Series. He was named the 1991 World Series MVP.<\/p>\n

Clyde Drexler enjoyed a stellar 15-year career with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers. He was a 10-time All-Star and won a NBA title with the Rockets in 1995. He was also a member of the original \u201cDream Team\u201d that won gold in the 1992 Olympics. In 1996, he was named to the \u00a0NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thurman Thomas rushed for over 12,000 during his 13 year NFL career, all but one season of which he spent with the Buffalo Bills.\u00a0 Thomas was a five-time All-Pro, the AFC MVP in 1991 and named to the 1990\u2019s All-Decade Team. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007 and Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2008.<\/p>\n
