Two time Super Bowl champ and Denver Broncos executive, John Elway<\/a>, will be returning to the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2, after 16 years, this time to hopefully win one as an executive. Elway, who made 5 appearances in the Super Bowl as a quarterback, will add six appearances to his Super Bowl matchup record hopefully this time as an executive.<\/p>\n

Elway joined FoxSports on FOX Super Bowl Daily to talk about the upcoming big game. When asked about his multiple Super Bowl appearances, Elway said, ” It’s different (this year)… I’m proud that this team is here. It’s been a tremendous year for us. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job, players have gone through a lot of adversity, bounced back and stayed mentally tough, so it’s great to be here…. but you gotta win it.”<\/p>\n

Elway went on to say that Peyton Manning is playing the best football of his life right now. When Elway hired Manning, his goal was to make Elway the greatest quarterback of all time. The FoxSports gang asked Elway if he were playing today, who would be his number one receiver that he would go to. Elway tactfully said. “the open one.”<\/p>\n
