Landon Donovan and the U.S. soccer team scored the game winner in the 91st minute of their match with Algeria. Donovan helped US soccer set a number of records in its 1-0 win today, which made it the top-scoring team in the World Cup Group C.

World champion Italy was aided by a controversial penalty against New Zealand in earning a 1-1 draw at the FIFA World Cup in Nelspruit on Sunday.”
