  • Sports Star Deion Sanders Signs Autographs at the CSA Show

    CHANTILLY, VA — Two-sport star Deion Sanders was available to sign autographs for fans at the CSA Show in Chantilly, VA on Saturday, April 6 from 12:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. Nicknamed “Prime Time”, Sanders was one of the most gifted athletes of recent times, playing both football and baseball. He won a Super Bowl with both the San Francisco 49ers & Dallas Cowboys and played in the World Series with the Atlanta Braves. He was an 8-time Pro Bowl selection and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

  • Butch Lumpkin Is An Inspiration to All

    I just returned last week from an event in the Midwest that I provide athletes for each year. This year’s lineup included football Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett and baseball Hall of Famer Andre Dawson. And while both did a great job and received rave reviews, the person who stole the show was someone named Butch Lumpkin.

    Lumpkin wasn’t a professional athlete and didn’t have the name recognition of Dorsett and Dawson, but he’s the one that left the biggest impression. You see, Lumpkin was born with virtually no arms, yet he’s a single-digit handicap golfer, plays tennis better than most and skis black diamonds. The word “can’t” isn’t in his vocabulary. (more…)

  • Denver Broncos Pick Tim Tebow in 1st Round Draft

    RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL, NY – A mix of cheers and boos from the audience took place when the Denver Broncos shocked the NFL Thursday night, April 22, 2010, by picking Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the first round of the NFL Draft.

    Earlier in the round the Broncos chose Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and then used a package of mid-round selections to trade up for Tebow. The Broncos chose Tebow at 25 in the first round. (more…)

  • Who Dat Talkin Bout Beaten Dem Saints?

    I should have bet on the Super Bowl. After all, I did predict the New Orleans Saints would win, 24-20. I also wrote the Saints had a chance if they could protect Drew Brees. That’s pretty much what happened.

    Brees has replaced Archie Manning as the city’s most popular sports figure. “Who Dat?” has just taken on a whole new meaning.

    The Saints overcame a 10-point first-half deficit to defeat the favored Indianapolis Colts, 31 – 17. In so doing, the Saints won the Super Bowl for the first time in the team’s 43 year history and unleashed a celebration in New Orleans that’s going to last long beyond Mardi Gras… (more…)

  • Tim Tebow Will Be Speaker At National Prayer Breakfast Agent Says

    Tim Tebow, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and led the University of Florida to two BCS championships, will attend the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, his agent reports.

    Politico reports that when asked if he would be speaking at the breakfast, Tim Tebow’s agent, Susan Vanderlinde, said, “Yes, I believe he is.”… (more…)

  • Kurt Warner Officially Retires From NFL

    Quarterback Kurt Warner, 38, officially announced his retirement today from the NFL.

    “It’s been an amazing ride,” Warner told reporters. “I don’t think I could have dreamt it would have played out like it has, but I’ve been humbled every day that I woke up the last 12 years and amazed that God would choose to use me to do what he’s given me the opportunity to do.”

    “I’m excited about what’s next,” Warner said. “Before I was always excited about next season.”

    Warner is a popular Christian speaker and religion will continue to play a huge part in Kurt’s life.
