  • Tiger Woods Answers All Questions at Masters Press Conference

    AUGUSTA,GA – Tiger Woods took all questions at the Masters press conference Monday, April 5,  which marked his first live televised interview since his car crash and the revelation of his many alleged affairs. Showing sincerity and true redemption, he seemed like a new man determined to win this year’s Master’s tournament and to move on with his life.

    Tiger Woods is determined to win The Masters tournament this year.

    Woods told reporters that he “missed the competition” and apologized to fellow players for the distraction he caused. He said he hopes “the players can be left alone to focus on the Masters, not only this week, but going forward as well.” (more…)

  • Tiger Woods Says He Will Return to Golf in The Masters

    PALM HARBOR, FL – Tiger Woods has announced today that he will play golf in the Masters which is scheduled to begin next month on April 8. Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus said on March 4, that “it would surprise me” if Tiger Woods did not return to competitive golf in time for the Masters. It looks like Nicklaus was right.

  • Merlin Olsen, Pro Football Hall of Famer, Dies of Cancer at 69

    Merlin Olsen, NFL Hall of Famer tackle, died early Thursday at a hospital in Duarte, Calif. He was 69.

    Olsen’s brother Orrin, announced his death and said he had been treated for mesothelioma, a deadly form of lung cancer. Olsen was also a longtime color commentator for NBC’s pro football and Rose Bowl telecasts, working along side Dick Enberg.

    Olsen also acted on television in NBC’s “Little House on the Prairie” and in his own series, “Father Murphy.” (more…)

  • Apolo Ohno Makes Olympic History Breaks Bonnie Blair Record

    VANCOUVER, BC – Apolo Ohno won the bronze medal Saturday in the 1,000-meter short-track speed skating event winning his seventh Winter Olympics medal setting a new American record beating Bonnie Blair who held the record with 6 medals. Ohno now has two gold, two silver and three bronze medals in his three Olympic appearances.

  • Tiger Woods Publicly Apologizes; Says He Will Return to Golf

    PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL – The long anticipated public apology finally came this morning when Tiger Woods apologized to his family, friends, fans and business affiliates in a speech from the PGA tour’s TPC Sawgrass headquarters in Florida. Woods expressed regret for “irresponsible and selfish behavior.”

    Woods said he let down his fans and friends, calling his behavior a “personal disappointment.” He also accepted full responsibility for his actions, saying “I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated.” (more…)

  • Lindsey Vonn Wins Gold In Olympic Womens Downhill

    WHISTLER, British Columbia — American skier, Lindsey Vonn, won the Olympic downhill on Wednesday, and her American teammate Julia Mancuso won the silver medal in a surprise second place.

    Vonn, who has been plagued with a bruised right shin, seemed to have no problem racing down Franz’s Downhill in 1 minute, 44.19 seconds taking her to a gold medal victory for the United States. (more…)

  • Hannah Kearney is First American to Win Gold in Vancouver

    Freestyle skier, Hannah Kearney, wins the gold for the United States in Sunday’s competition at the Vancouver Olympics. She claims the honor of being the first American to win the gold. Kearney, who hails from Vermont. won a dramatic victory over Canada’s Jenn Heil.

    “I heard the crowd. I heard Jenn’s score, and I knew I’d have to have the run of my life,” she said. “I’m glad she scored a good run because it means more to me to come out on top.”

    “I couldn’t even imagine the pressure on Jenn. You could almost feel it. I know Canada hasn’t won a gold medal on their home turf, but I have a feeling they’ll do it these Games,” Kearney said. “But I’m pleased that I could stop that for now.”
