Shane Victorino played outfield in Major League Baseball from 2003-2015, primarily with the Philadelphia Phillies (2005-2012) but also the San Diego Padres (2003), Los Angeles Dodgers (2012), Boston Red Sox (2013-2015) and Los Angeles Angels (2015). During his time in the City of Brotherly Love, Victorino was twice named an All-Star, won three Gold Gloves and helped the Phillies to a World Series title in 2008. He won a fourth Gold Glove and second World Series with Boston in 2013.

In 2008 with the Phillies, Victorino hit .293 with 14 homers and 58 RBI while winning his first Gold Glove in route to helping Philadelphia win the World Series in five games over Tampa Bay. In 2009, he was named an All-Star for the first time, won his second straight Gold Glove and received votes for N.L. MVP. For the season, he hit .292 with 10 home runs and 62 RBI while leading MLB with 13 triples. Victorino in 2010 set career-highs in home runs (18) and RBI (69), winning his third consecutive Gold Glove in the process. His 16 triples in 2011 once more led the league while Victorino earned his second All-Star appearance and once again received N.L. MVP votes

After splitting time between the Phillies and Dodgers in 2012, Victorino landed with Boston in 2013, batting .294 with 15 homers and 61 RBI in winning his second World Series along with his fourth Gold Glove. In 2008, in recognition of his strong character on and off the baseball diamond, Victorino won the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, while in 2011 he won the Branch RIckey Award, honoring his service in the community. Victorino was born on November 30, 1980 in Wailuku, Hawaii. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 1999 draft by the Dodgers and, after being picked by San Diego in the Rule 5 draft in 2002, made his MLB debut on April 2, 2003.
