Rudy Tomjanovich Booking Agent Details
Rudy Tomjanovich is a former NBA coach who led the Houston Rockets from 1991-2003 followed by one season with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004-2005. Tomjanovich is a 2020 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He notably coached the Rockets to back-to-back NBA titles for the 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 seasons. In seven consecutive seasons, from 1992-1999, Tomjanovich led Houston to a playoff appearance. Internationally, Tomjanovich coached the United States to a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. In 1998, he coached the U.S. at the FIBA Basketball World Cup, where his team won a bronze medal.
Before his coaching days, Tomjanovich enjoyed a successful playing career from 1970-1981, all with the Rockets. He was a five-time NBA All-Star with Houston (1974-1977, 1979) and, in total for his career, recorded a per game average of 17.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists. His jersey #45 was retired by the Rockets.
Collegiately, Tomjanovich played for the University of Michigan where he was a two-time All-Big Ten selection in 1969 and 1970. The 1970 season saw him additionally earn second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press. He had his jersey #45 retired by the school and is an inductee into its Athletic Hall of Honor. Additionally, he is a member of the city of Houston and state of Michigan Sports Hall of Fames. Off the basketball court, Tomjanovich has been active in the community, including supporting the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.
